Aaron Calabrese’s interest in all things musical began with a toddler's curiosity and a record player in the early 80s in Northern Virginia. His music listening and appreciation includes many genres from classical to rock, jazz and hip hop. Training started with the piano at age 6, and continued with viola at 9, clarinet and voice at 10, alto saxophone at 12, and finally with the guitar as a high school freshman. Along with a Master's degree in Business Administration, Aaron has a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell where he studied guitar (including written and aural theory) and sound recording technology.
In addition to teaching music, Aaron is a solo performer in the Tampa Bay music scene:
Aaron Calabrese, solo singer and guitarist, will entertain you with a mix of contemporary and oldies music, covering songs from the 1950s thru today in his own folk and blues style: 80s music, love songs, folk, blues, country, pop and jazz tunes. In addition to acoustic rock, Aaron is a classical guitarist, performing works such as Spanish guitar music, and classical orchestral pieces arranged for solo guitar.
