Chris Takita

Guitarist/Composer/Educator Chris Takita studied at the world-renowned Berklee College of Music where he was trained to be proficient in many styles of music including Jazz, Rock, Blues, Classical, and World music. His notable instructors include Mick Goodrick, Wayne Krantz, and David Fiuczynski. Upon graduating from Berklee, he quickly established himself as a multi-instrumentalist playing Bass, Mandolin, and Ukulele in addition to performing mainly on Guitar, for many different theatre productions, film/tv work and touring groups. His credits include working with Theatre Offensive, Juri Panda Jones, Melissa Li, Takaya Kawasaki and Rachasea.

Currently, Chris is focusing on his passion to teach music.

He specializes in teaching both improvisation and written music in various styles to diversify and balance his students in building the necessary skills to perform solo and in various different ensemble settings.
