No worries, we have instruments available for the first lesson so you can get started right away and get advice from the instructor on purchasing the right instrument. We teach all styles, from rock, pop, jazz, and blues to metal, country and classical guitar – on electric and acoustic guitars.

Our guitar instructors bring many years of teaching and performance experience to their lessons, along with college studies in music. They are all highly knowledgeable in music theory, and are well-versed in teaching and performing a variety of styles. Our teachers love helping students of all ages and levels to reach their goals on the guitar.

What will I learn from guitar lessons at Creative Keys Music School?

Beginner guitar students can expect to work on chords, simple songs and melodies, sight reading and theory. Our instructors balance musicianship and fun! Teachers use a variety of methods from well-known music publishers to help students learn and practice the basics meanwhile learning new skills on a weekly basis.

Do I have to know how to read music?

No. Beginners are welcome!

Do I need to purchase a guitar to learn the instrument?

Yes, you will need to purchase an instrument to bring to class and to practice on at home. For your convenience, students can use one of our guitars at their first lesson and the instructor can make recommendations on an instrument to buy.

Does Creative Keys host recitals?

Absolutely! We host more performance opportunities than any other school in the area. Each year we offer a variety of performances, including in-house performance parties, outdoor recitals at R.E. Olds Park amphitheater, outreach concerts at assisted living facilities, online showcases, and more. There are no participation fees for students and admission is free, so you can invite your family and friends without having to pay for tickets.
