What’s the #1 reason to study violin/viola/cello at Creative Keys Music School?
Our Strings instructors are warm and friendly, and get to know each student and parent on a personal level. We work with you to craft a lesson plan that fits your individual needs and the student’s favorite type of music. Whether you’re playing in local bands, a seven year old taking their first lesson, or a fifty year old returning to the violin after many years, we’ll set goals to achieve your musical aspirations.
What styles of Violin do you teach?
We teach all styles, including classical, fiddling, celtic, pop and rock.
How qualified are your Strings instructors?
Our Strings instructors have received their education from prestigious institutions such as Pittsburgh State University, UC Berkeley, Manhattan School of Music, and Florida State University. They bring many years of professional performance and teaching experience to your lessons.
What will I learn from Violin/Viola/Cello lessons at Creative Keys Music School?
Our students spend time each week working on technical skills to improve their sound quality and intonation, along with note reading, rhythm, technique, and expression. A variety of methods are used to achieve the basics and make progress on the instrument. Our teachers nurture the student’s love of music through their care and expertise.
Can I perform in recitals?
Absolutely! Creative Keys offers more performance opportunities than any other school in the area, with a variety of events hosted throughout the year. These include outdoor events at R.E. Olds Park amphitheater, in-house performance parties, outreach recitals at assisted living communities, as well as virtual showcases. Students love to perform and find that they are more motivated to practice when working toward a goal. There is never a participation fee and friends and family are welcome to attend at no charge.
Do I need to purchase an instrument to take lessons?
You will need to have an instrument to bring to class each week as well as to practice on at home. The good news is you don’t have to purchase one since Creative Keys is an affiliate of Veritas Instrument Rental. As a Creative Keys student, you can rent a violin, viola, or cello at affordable monthly rates and take advantage of a rent one month, get one month free offer when you visit www.rentfromhome.com and use code “creative”.
